All solar body dimensions are displayed in miles and the measurements are the diameters of each body. Although the actual illustrated solar bodies are displayed as perfect globes, in reality the equatorial area of each body bulges out making the width of the body slightly larger than the height. This happens due to the increased centrifical force at the equator, pulling out moreso at the middle part of the body than at the areas towards the poles.
The Sun certainly dwarfs the rest of the planets and Earth is just a tiny marble against the Sun. As big as the Sun is, it is nothing compared with the size of other stars in the Universe. One star, named Betelgeuse, is approximately 767,060,285 miles in diameter according to some sources. And yet, there is another star even larger than that! It boggles the mind.
